This years Phyliss Chapman Challenge took to the saddle, on the Tissington Trail. We arrived on Friday the 13th!!, it is safe to say it lived up to expectations with some very heavy rain and wind. Some early arrivals were thankful of a helping hand. It was even too wet to get the camera out so you just need to take our word for it.!
Some people walked, and some went all the way to the High Peak Trail, which is uphill all the way!!. Fortunately that meant downhill on the way back, a round trip of around 34 miles. Some managed to do some more when they missed the campsite.
At around 6pm on Saturday a small table was very quickly filled with food for the BBQ, with David being Chief Cook as always. I think it's safe to say we ate well after two hours of cooking.
On Sunday we went to St. Oswalds Church in Ashbourne where Di Beste told of our story. After tea we went to The Bentley Brook Inn for a Sunday dinner.
