| Here's what some members told
us....... |
St Martins Church has a
wonderful atmosphere and people always make you welcome and feel at home when
arriving. I enjoy talking with everyone at the end of the service about
christian beliefs and what St Martins means to them.
To me it has helped bring peace
to my heart and generate a love of being with people who are very kind and
considerate. Thank you to all who make St Martins Church what it is
today. May God bless you all and keep you safe in his heart.

I like to come
to church because I can dance, and play with the toys and sit on the big step
at the front and watch the singing and listen to the stories. (Jack aged
2½ helped by daddy!)

I like going to
church, firstly to thank God for all he has given me, second, to sing in the
Choir and thirdly to enjoy the friendly atmosphere. (E.Causon,
retired)

I was asked the
question "why do I come to church" I suppose I have always gone to church from
being knee high to a grasshopper. Like a lot of young children, I remember
having a brief spell in my teens when I didn't attend regularly. I find going to
church very relaxing and it gives me an opportunity to think clearly without
interruption. I find members of the church friendly and our Rector, Richard
Sharpe, is very interesting, topical and also entertaining! (Sometimes I think
he should go on stage!) Seriously though, having faith is comforting to me and
if I have a problem, going to church and having time to think as well as
listen, helps me sort out my mind. (S.Hutty)
