SWINGIN' 60'S NOVEMBER 2005

St. Martin's Charities Sub Committee would like to say thank you to all those who supported our 60's night dance at Botcheston village hall on November 26th.
Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and entered into the spirit with some wonderful outfits - black and white mini skirts / dresses, hippies, silly wigs etc. We had some great prizes in our raffle which alone raised £122.00.

(special thanks to Alison Noon for donating a lovely Christmas cake.)

The band "Fantoms" were very good (ladies dancing arond hand-bags of course). We were treated to an educational interval learning Altereng! Very funny.

The total raised by the event was £278.00.
This figure added to the £170 from our Fun Evening in October and £96 from the raffle at the Harvest Supper, brings the total raised at our three events this year in support of our nominated charities to... £544.00 We are also grateful to those who through the year have contributed to other needy causes: eg the Asian Tsunami Pakistan earthquake Christian Aid etc.
